Whoops, wrong thread
For the past two fairs we’ve had kids build and fire catapults. That tends to draw a pretty big line.
There are two groups (royal court and oracles of enchantment) that do story times with kids. There is a spot for camel rides, and another for face painting.
There also use to be a children’s realm with a lot of physical activities, but I don’t think that’s been around for a while.
Sounds like we need to make some boffers
Boff the maker fam!
I read that as “kids build” and “fire catapults.” Was wondering how good their insurance was.
Read: marshmallows
It was on only my calendar… thanks for noticing… now it is on the public one.
We managed to assemble the tent, muck about, and then disassemble the tent in about an hour and a half.
We even had simulated fair weather to make it as real world of a situation as possible.
2 of us were able to pretty much assemble the tent up to the point of having to lift the top of the ground.
If we took all the pleats out, that would be over 18 ft long, each curtain.
Leather cloak?
I just completed some pouches (though I wouldn’t sell them they aren’t that quality) but I have some hide I don’t have a solid plan for and I thought a trench coat, or cloak…

Breathe, Gretchen. You will have stuff to sell on your table, Gretchen. Even if you have to spend every hour not working or sleeping at MakeICT, Gretchen.
Currently on the list:
- 2 goblin mech suits
- 2 giant beetles, one stag and the other…fire?
- Maybe 12 Pente sets (leather board, glass beads) in tubes
- At least five 3” beholders (if I don’t break any fingers making them)
- the two dragons and rooster I took to the spring faire
- Mother and baby whale (as a set, or individually)?
- Several wrist cuffs and necklaces/collars (leather with steel closures)
Wannamakes:
- Belt pouches
- Leather cloaks
- Steel cloak frogs (closures)
- leather masks

For activity for both adult and kids we could make foam pool noodle swords and other weapons and familys can duel each other.
Another hit I seen when I was a boyscout, was to have a jail made and for a set donation someone could put a bounty on a person they know to go to jail for a short time. All in fun
@Thornton Are you vending?
Also, if anyone needs a table or anything, let me know. I have extras of so many things.
I have a table that I usually use, but it’s really small and wobbly, so if you don’t mind bringing a spare that would be super awesome.
Noted! I’ll bring a good 6’ table for ya!
Yaay! Thank you so much!
Yes and no, lol.
Aaron asked about having my boxes there, but I declined since I’ll be at the Level-Up gaming convention that weekend. He said he brought it up at the Make meeting and got it ok’d to have 5 to 10-ish boxes there at the booth in my absence. That’s all I really know. If someone is able to keep an eye on my boxes, I’d be happy to give a portion of the profits to Make. If there isn’t someone that can do that, I’m absolutely fine withdrawing from the faire.

In sure we could make it work
I’d be happy to help! I have an extra table I can bring to put your stuff on. I’ll just put it next to my and Michael’s table so we can keep track of your items.
That sounds perfect! I have a couple black table covers too if that would help. What time are you setting up? And how big are your tables?

I think 8:00(???) but can’t remember well. It’s a 6’x2.5’ folding table. Covers would be great!
