@SeanSandefur - how many of each type of plot is for sale, or do you want those plots advertised in the newsletter?

No, I don’t think we need to advertise right now. We’re already pretty full. Thanks for asking!

okay, if all plots are full, would you like that posted in the newsletter so that I stop getting asked how many plots are available?

That would be helpful, thank you!

@rustin.atkeisson @SeanSandefur

Aren’t there ground plots still available?

I read over the MakeICT Plot Rental agreement. Excellent work. It’s concise, clear and indemnifies us. Dig it. Good job.

Awesome. Thanks, Jai!

Are plots on the ground still available and can I plant wild Kansas native flowers?

You’re not talking about dandelions are you?

They are native and an excellent source of early season pollen for bees, so maybe.

Dandelions are not native, they were brought to the US by German immigrants as a food crop.

There are dandelions native to North America.

Dandelions were on the Mayflower, intended for medicinal purposes.

Many dandelion species have been serially introduced to North America, by the English, French and Germans to name a few.

While the common dandelion Taraxacum officinale is considered non native to North America, it is fully considered a wildflower due to it’s being completely naturalized here.

Dandelion species have been cultivated, as well as being selectively bred for desired characteristics including for food, for medicine, for dye, for latex, and for wine.

They we’re one of my mother’s favorites for cut flowers, at least partly due to allergies to common commercial cut flowers. She called them Kansas Carnations.

I have the same question on availability for an in ground plot. I would be growing vegetables. If a dandelion grows in it, i know it’s culinary and medicinal uses
Thanks

Lots of in-ground plots available! We’ll be there this Sunday at 11 if you want to stop by and pick one out.

Thanks - will do!

Yeah. If you still have my cell number from the time we worked on the SawStop, give me a text when you’ll be available.
