Gammill Long Arm Quilter

Eeeeek. I really need help.
So my wife was trimming my quilt (the only space big enough is the kitchen floor, and she can maneuver easier). I thought that after doing 3 sides, she would be fine if I did something else during the final cut.
Nope. Instead of cutting 4" from the 2nd border, she cut right at the border. She sliced about 13" before realizing what she did.
I tried some fabric adhesive, hoping to glue the pieces together, but no dice.
My final idea is some embroidered applique on both sides, and then sew a “Sewn by Ashley” tag somewhere in there. Mostly just to stitch the two halves together and distract from the horror that occurred.
Is anyone capable of making me some paisley patch things? I have no idea how to use the embroidery machine, and at this point, I have no emotional battery to learn right now. However, I can’t sew the binding and finish my quilt until I’m certain the damn thing won’t fall apart. I’m more than willing to pay for time, materials, and energy spent.
It’s just…disheartening that everything that could go wrong with this quilt has gone belly up. :frowning:

The pic is the back, where the damage is most noticeable, as the front slice is at the seam.

I’m not sure the embroidery machine has a paisley shape. I think I have some ribbon with paislies ( no sure that is the correct plural form)on it. I’d be happy give you enough to cover the mistake. I just need until the weekend to find it in my storage unit and dig it out. I have a machine with 400 built in stitches and even it doesn’t have a paisley shape stitch.

I have some fusible fabric tape meant for joining sections of batting together that may be helpful as well. You could fuse the cut with it before covering with an applique. I haven’t use it but another idea is to use a fusible raw edge applique product to cover it up. Check at a quilt store for help with that one. On another note; I picked up several charity quilts at the Guild meeting yesterday. Anyone wanting to practice on the longarm is welcome to work with me on them. Just let me know.

I would love both the ribbon and the fusible stuff. Thank you!
I sure hope quilts aren’t always this complicated. Lol

I can meet at the space tomorrow with the tape. I may mow and I may quilt so could be there a long time. Let me know what time if any works for you. Otherwise I can leave it in the textiles room where you can find it.

I won’t have a vehicle tomorrow, so if you could leave it at the space, that would be wonderful.
Thank you!

Ashley, fusible tape on the shelf with the Longarm thread. Marked for you.

Thank you!

I didn’t find the Paisley but I did find 3 that might work. They are on the microwave in Textiles.

Thank you, Brian and Marissa!
Found everything. Wish me luck that I can fix this

That is so pretty! I hope to learn how to use the long arm someday!

It is really not that hard. If I can learn to do it, anyone can.

I have 2 small charity quilts ready for the Gammill. I plan on running them tomorrow starting about 9:00am. I expect this will take 4-5 hours. If anyone would like a demo of the Longarm quilter this might be a good opportunity.

I’d love to learn the quilting machine as well! I have zero experience and probably need someone to check my current top for feasability
