Join South Kansas Woodturners for their regular Monthly Meeting. This is always the 3rd Saturday Morning, each month. The meeting starts at 9:00 am till 11:30 or Noon.

We have a short business meeting, then do our Show and Tell of their latest turnings by our members. We hear what they learned, what they might do differently for the next one and get our questions answered.

After a break and individual discussions, the club presents a demonstration about wood turning. Usually 1 1/2 to 2 hours in length, one of the members presents a turning project. Mounting method, tools and approaches to actual turning, are shown and discussed. Some Demonstrations are more actual turning, others demonstrate methods balanced with actual turning, and some can feature more info about the methods and technical aspects of mounting, rather than actual turning.

This meeting is open to the Public and Members of MakeICT are encouraged to come and see how Woodturning might be a way for each to create.

This meeting is Kid Friendly, and parent(s) should attend with them.

The class will cover working with very small screws, connecting ribbon cables, positioning, and shell modification.
Every participant will leave with a working gameboy macro (that needs a bit of cosmetic touch up from removing the top screen). If anything breaks during reassembly I will have spare parts to ensure everyone completes the project.
All ages are welcome, but minors must have parents in the room (this is a solderless class, soldering class available).
