Hello! I just wanted to follow up to see if there was an authorization class for using the machines for wood turning?

The tools are called lathes, you will need the wood lathe safety authorization (make sure you look for wood lathe specifically, there is also a metal lathe safety authorization in the metal shop for working on metal) before you can use them. It might be a while, the last one was offered fairly recently.

Good Luck! I am very interested in learning more about the lathe as well. I have had the safety class, but I still have a lot to learn. Hopefully we will meet sometime. If you need an additional person to fill a class I would definitely do it again.
