It was kind of of cool seeing it done. It was in the middle of a long video of woodworking stuff. I am not sure the rest of the video was worth watching. The first transforming table was cool

Tom, That is a texture tool from Sorby. It will be one of the techniques we will teach in Woodturning Classes this year. After you get the fundamentals down, and are able to get the wood ready, that texturing is fairly easy. There are other tools as well, additionally I have one made from an old band saw blade. Various Woodturning Classes will be posted in early January.
