Here is my article for the newsletter introducing the new wave;
****Who Made That?! Catch Your Fellow Makers in the Act! ****
You know that moment when you walk by a workbench and think, “Whoa—who made THAT?!”
Well, we’re turning that moment into a movement.
Introducing a brand new way to honor the brilliant, quirky, skillful, and downright awesome things being made every day at MakeICT. Instead of waiting for someone to nominate themselves (spoiler alert: most folks won’t), we’re inviting YOU to be the eyes and ears of the maker community.
Here’s how it works:
Spot something amazing being made—maybe it’s wild, maybe it’s weird, maybe it’s just super well-crafted.
Snap a pic of the creation (and the creator if they’re up for it).
Fill out a quick form—available at the Welcome Center—to tell us who made it and what it is.
Share it by submitting the form and photo so we can feature it online (Facebook, public gallery, etc.).
This isn’t a contest (though we might cook up some fun surprises for standouts). It’s a celebration. A way to say, “Hey! I see what you did there—and it’s rad.”
So grab a form, catch a maker in the wild, and help us shine a spotlight on the creativity buzzing through our space every day. Let’s show off. Let’s show up. Let’s make some noise for the makers who quietly make magic.
Let the catching begin.
Who made that?!
