I was thinking I’d really enjoy it if there were a weekly yoga event hosted at Make ICT. It would be a pretty good way for me to invite my friends over for something they enjoy and also have them see the studio before/afterwards.
What are we thinking? Anyone else into it?
If you do it in a room without AC this time of year it could almost qualify as hot yoga!
hahaha I’d definitely want to be outside for yoga. That little hillside next to the river is really nice to stretch on!!
I’ll come out!
Never done yoga but could be worth a shot
I think you could probably find enough people to make it a weekly/biweekly thing. I honestly need to get back into yoga just to limber up so i don’t hurt so much from tkd drills.
I was thinking of going with 6pm on mondays- we’ll shoot for weekly
I’ve decided to invite a group for yoga on Tuesdays at 5:30 weekly. this will be an hour before Day Of The Thread, so we can just hop over to the textiles room if we’d like
It’s unclear if Day of the Thread will stay on Tuesdays. A couple weeks ago June posted a question on the forum as to whether Thursdays would work for everyone since she’s having conflicts with schedules on Tuesdays. @Jhuie I haven’t seen anything on here since that one post, so not sure what’s happening with that.
I hadn’t heard from Rayna yet but I am thinking we should change our get together night to the second and 4th Thursdays of the month starting in July. I will be at quilt academy this month. I don’t have a sitter for tomorrow night yet so I expect I won’t make it. I cannot leave my husband alone, he feel this past weekend.
June, please consider me a sitter for Ben on short notice. Im nearby, I like Ben, and sometimes Im even available on short notice for a couple hours.
Also, I just bought a $20 garage sale sewing machine. Looks like a 60 or 70s vintage Singer. Suitcase type. My plan is to play with footswitch alternatives so I can try to learn sewing again.
She said it works fine but needs a good cleaning.
And she had 2 of them. Fyi.
I use my newer Brother sewing machine without a pedal… it has a dial for speed built in… you might test the brother’s that the space has to see if they have the same feature.
Thanks Ladeana. I will go looking at the Brother sewing machines.
