Visual Arts materials removed . .

Greetings all,

As part of the Visual Arts Area refurbishment, some new supplies were added. A nice selection of Acrylic Paints had been added (top shelf, third unit) that is no longer there. Since this was multiple new tubes in a molded plastic rack, I doubt if they were all used up over just a few days. No empties were found in the trash… Also, a nice selection of natural hair brushes is missing.

If, for some reason you moved these to another area, please return them to their place in Room One. This disappearance was noted at 6:30 pm on December 1st as I was trying to enlist a new teacher for a Painting with Acrylics class and there were none on the shelf. Needless to say, I was red-in-the-face for multiple reasons.

Removal of materials from their designated area has to stop. If you borrow something, return it to its correct place; if you remove from the Workspace, everyone suffers (and shame on you). End of rant . . .

@Timothy … I think I MAY have found the culprit. A couple weeks back, myself and another member recruited another person to help finish up some items for a memorial service that was the following day. We worked into the morning then divided up the cleanup. After seeing this post, I went and checked our materials box. I am not 100% certain it’s the paints you’re looking for from your description, and I don’t have it in front of me, but I know that I didn’t have this acrylic multi pack (20-ish small tubes stood upright in a clear holder) amongst the paints we brought. Given the late hour and division of labor, I believe it might have inadvertently been swept up. I can’t, however, speak towards any brushes as we were applying with q-tips. I will follow up with a picture if it helps OR just drop these off for area use as should you see a fit.

Greetings Brad,

Your general description of the missing tubes is spot on. If you would please leave these on the Stained Glass workbench, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your honesty.

Yours in service,
Timothy York

The paints were returned to the Visual Arts Area during the Christmas / New Years timeframe. Thank you!
