Thinking of teaching a class II

I’ve noticed over the years that we have a lot of drills that are chipped or worn. Many of the new drills in the big index in the metal shop are made with a grind that won’t cut. I’ve ground then as I have needed them, but I suspect a lot of you probably just put the bad one back and search for another that will work. Is there any interest in a class to teach off hand drill grinding?

Secondary to that, is there any interest in a class to teach lathe tool grinding?

I would be interested.

I’d be interested in both of those. Drill bits that won’t drill holes seem to be the only type I ever find.

I have a master set that I’ve been replacing busted drill bits with as I find them, but I have not paid close attention to worn out bits.

I’ve ground bits in the past, but I’d still be up for learning how you handle re-grinds.

Just filled out the form! I’ll start a new thread to let others know what the class is about. Thanks!
