Textiles Update

Textiles is getting cleaned up!
June and I have had changes in our lives. Neither of us in ways we had hoped they would turn out, but we are able to regroup and do things we enjoy again. That means textiles is getting a clean up, clean out, and solid leadership back on a regular basis! I will be resuming classes and my weekend presence on most Sundays. We are discussing the weekly meetup day and time.

Any projects currently left or stored in the textiles room must be removed and stored in a locker or they may be considered a donated item by accident during the cleanup! Please remember we do not allow project storage in the room because fabric in here is allowed to be taken by members for use free of charge (although monitary donations are always welcomed).

The floor has been vacuumed and mopped. Coke and food stains removed. Tables wiped and the
big green mat cleaned of whatever “glue” got sprayed on it. It took 2 of us an entire day to clean up the mess. This supposed a “clean room” that is safe for fabric projects. Paint has no place in this room. Any “spray basting” should be done outside as the ventilation is not sufficient to do it in the room. We really appreciate your assistance in maintaining our area for everyone’s enjoyment. Your leads.

Good to see you girls back in action (although sad for you). Thanks for making the space a better place.
