I intend to take the table saw offline late this evening to repair the elevation handwheel.
ETA: the tablesaw is locked out until I get the handwheel reinstalled.

This is a good place for a reminder…
If something is broken, report it and stop using it so it can be fixed. Then lock out the machine so that other would be users know not to use it. The knob on the handwheel probably started to come loose and could have been tightened. But it appears that it continued to get looser and people kept gronking on it until the first few threads on the handwheel had all been pulled out. At that point it could not just be tightened anymore and required thread repair.
