First, I noticed that the riding knife on the Table saw is bent out of alignment with the blade, and catches any material being cut.
Second, the Large band saw jump ahead of the guide wheels, so I lock out the machine, maybe the band needs reset.
I will be up at the space in about 15 to 30 minutes to address these things. If you are there, I’d like to show you why things are not working the way they’re supposed to and how to take care of some of these issues. For that matter anybody who wants to see how to install a band saw blade, show up this afternoon in about a half hour
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that if you are using equipment in the wood shop or the metal shop or any other area and find the equipment to be faulty, or it breaks while you are using it or something seems out of adjustment or anything is wrong, for the Love of All that is holy let somebody know! Contact information for area leads is posted all over the place. It’s on the website. The form exists. Tell somebody so that stuff can be addressed!
I actually noticed that the riving knife was not on the table saw last night when I was cleaning up and did not notice that it was out of alignment. Although I did wonder why someone was using the saw without it. My bad for not checking the alignment that time.
Ialso did notice that the blade on the small band saw was dull and the tracking at the time was way way off. Somebody had adjusted the tracking so that it was pulling the blade into the guide bearing very very hard. That is not how it should be adjusted. Once again if something is not working the way it should let somebody knows that he can be fixed instead of trying to apply a Band-Aid on Miss adjusting the tracking. If you don’t know how to maintain equipment, no. Let somebody know so that somebody who knows equipment should work address it. A new blade has been installed now.
Contact information is all over the place the form exists there are so many ways to let somebody know when something’s not working! It’s not that hard!
Just saw this, would haved help out if you made it out. I was working on my car in the parking lot this afternoon.
The big band saw is back together.
