Surplus Equipment Plan for Radio Committee

We have some radio and electronic equipment that was donated to the Radio Committee from the estate of two ham radio operators. The Committee is working to divest of the items that are not going to be used by the Committee.

There is a Heathkit HW-8 QRP CW only, 80, 40, 20, and 15 meter bands. This transceiver and its companion power supply, and a two watt (continuous) dummy load that was inspired by the one in the radio’s assembly manual.

It is anticipated that this package will be up for up on the Taking Offers form on the bulletin Board near the Welcome Center on Sunday, July 20th. the information from the standard form follows:

Item Description: See above
Reason for Removal: Not going to be used for Radio Committee station.
Condition: Being sold AS IS, but unit does power up and stations were received and it does transmit on all bands. Power output may not meet specifications. Cursory visual inspection of the inside of the unit was made and no issue were noted. Power Supply was not inspected but did function to power radio for testing and provided the specified voltage.

A list of the Heathkit items (other than the HW-8 package) will be posted in the Electronics Lab by 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2025. If there are items you would like to see put out for individual bid rather than by lot, please initial the item and send an email to Joseph.pajor@makeict.org, with the item name so we can set them out for individual bidding.
