Is there a source everyone uses for acrylic sheeting? 3/16" or 1/8", preferably.
I go to lustercraft and ask to go thru thier cutoff or scrap rack they charge by the lb. Still more than i feel I should have to pay but at least it’s not a full sheet

Can you use what we have at the space? Make a donation at fab lab?
You can find acrylic sheets at The Yard, but be careful as not all of what they have is acrylic and you don’t want to be using lexan or plexiglass on the laser.
Yeah, unless it has the factory backing on it that explicitly says it is acrylic, assume that anything at The Yard is not safe for the laser.

That’s what I was afraid of, that’s why I was asking about sources I don’t want to accidentally get the wrong material.
Lustercraft stuff is sorted and still has backer on it
