Hey guys! I am looking at acquiring a small cnc to do some truss rod covers for guitars amd what not. I was thinking about buying one of those $200 desktop 3018 cncs from China. Didn’t know if anyone had used one or had recommendations.
Ooooor…do any of you know how to build one and are willing to let me pick your brain lol

We have a couple of mills stashed in the back of the ERP for small projects like a truss rod cover. The controller from r the black mill was designed and made at MakeICT.
If I remember right, that black mill use to be a shurline.
James Lancaster and I have talked about teaching CNC classes for the shop bot and black mill with Fusion360 in the near future if you would like to get some experience on the machines.

I’ve seen that… I was thinking about getting an xcarve…but seems a bit much for such a small project lol
