Smoothing prints

What is your go-to for smoothing 3d prints?

If it’s PLA, you can try heat. I sometimes use a heat pen that’s intended for embossing crafts. It’s like a smaller, lower-temp heat gun. They’re inexpensive on Amazon.

It you want to smooth a bunch of prints, you might look into PVB filament. It prints almost the same as PLA, but you can smooth it chemically with just isopropyl alcohol. At least one member has used it on the Prusas and it does great.

Currently using pla. Making one piece silicone molds using one piece printed molds. Chemical is probably the best way. The hope is to make a silicone mold that I can cast epoxy models with as little post work as possible.
