So, I need 2 more of these, and I thought hey I have metal shop access, then thought, hmm how would one make that bend
I could buy a wider piece of metal and mill it down, or maybe there’s a smarter way

What are the dimensions? Looks like something simple we could quickly turn into a drawing and CNC on the little blue mill or the Tormach.
Working on making a 3d model of it right now. it’s 1/8th inch think, 1/2 in wide, and the longer arm is 2 3/8th long on the short side, the shorter tab is 1 in on the long side.
I would just cut it on the bandsaw. Welding it from two shorter sections could be done, but depending on the process and the drill, you might have trouble drilling that hole through a weld. Anyway, cut on the bandsaw, dress the edges with a grinder or file or on the milling machine, depending on how anal retentive you are about the edges.
That would definitely be quicker.
@Moon_Goddess If you make a drawing from the 3D model and print it out at actual size, you can glue it on your stock as a guide when you cut/grind/drill.

I haven’t had time to make sure the dimensions on this are correct, I don’t normally work in imperial. it also doesn’t have the holes.
Plasma is always the answer…
Well okay, not ALWAYS, but you get my point…
I’m now way too curious what a disastrous mess the plasma cutter would make out of a chunk of Delrin
You would have to cut something metallic to start with, but placing that over the acetal would certainly melt it. It would probably make a terrible mess before it was able to pierce 1.5" of it. Thinner stock might be cut that way though. Rather I should say, severed. I’m sure it would hardly qualify as a cut.
OMG I have one thread about an 1/8 think piece of metal and another about a block of Delrin for completely unrelated project, and now everything has merged and we’re bringing the plasma cutter into it…
So yes this one is just a simple piece of metal that looks like I’ll cut on bandsaw and file all good. it’s also not of any time priority so has been placed on the far back burner. To discuss my milling of Delrin please see the other thread.
