I just finished a tutorial and wanted to tell you all about it but then I realized you may not have seen the others. So here is James’s recommendation for simulation software.
First…Falstad

This is a pretty decent quick and dirty simulation. It’s great for a 'wonder if this works in general ’ kind of simulation. I also use the everycircit app, but I have specific circuits I explain repeatedly and it’s easy to just bring it up on the phone.
If you need a decent spice simulation though. Like how will this buck controller perform over these inductive values. I recommend LTSpice https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/design-tools-and-calculators/ltspice-simulator.html#
I have it running on wine… well had it running on wine… but it’s got some weird buttons… I just finished this tutorial http://www.simonbramble.co.uk/lt_spice/ltspice_lt_spice.htm and am looking at his converter design tutorials.
What’s your favorite circuit simulation software?
