Shopfox Bandsaw - Blade replaced 2026-04-30

Hey guys,

I was working on the bandsaw a moment ago and the blade snapped. I’ve never changed a blade before, so I don’t want to damage anything by fiddling around. I did lock-out/tag-out and taped a sign up. I’m happy to come by this evening and help replace it - should probably learn how to do that, and if you have any insights on what I did wrong, I’m glad for the feedback. I’m still new to working with this equipment, so this is all a learning experience. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks in advance.

Thanks, that’s exactly what you are supposed to do.

That’s the second blade that’s broken recently. Last time I found the upper blade guide installed wrong, putting a severe twist in the blade. I’ll swing by this afternoon and see if there’s another blade to install.
