Hello, I requested a shopbot class, and wanted to make a post to see if there was anyone else who wanted to take that class, or if there was any already existing plans to hold one.

I have seen others suggest they’ll put a class on the calendar for this and other stuff so I’ve held off as I have plenty of other stuff to get done. Since that hasn’t materialized, I’ll try to do something the week after next.

@whateg01 , I was initially planning to do one; but, transport fell through due to losing my car to a broken timing chain. I’m willing to do one within to do one within a week or two on either a Friday, Saturday or a Sunday,

I am interested, but I am assuming I need woodshop authorization first? Any upcoming classes for that?

Is Woodshop necessary for the shopbot? If so I will need to take that as well…

Yes, we require you to take woodshop safety before the shop bot.

It doesn’t look like there are any wood shop authorization classes on the calendar for March or what’s left of February. Do you know when one will be available?

Who would sign up for a shopbot class on 7 March? This would be similar to previous classes where CAD/CAM is not part of the curriculum.

I also responded yes to MIG, but my preference would be ShopBot over MIG. If you are planning both in the same day I could probably make that work too.

Since it looks like there are folks who still need the woodshop auth first, I’ll hold off on this. I some know if having a class the Saturday of Easter weekend is a good idea so my next opening is going to be 12 April. Will put something on the calendar are for then at 14:00.
