Shop doors

I went in the building this morning. The door to one of the wood shops was open and the furnace was running with the warm air going into the hall. I was the only one in the building at the time so the door may have been open for some time. This time of year we need to keep all the shop doors closed to prevent wasting money heating the hall. Also, the wood shops and metal shops are fire doors and are supposed to be kept closed for that reason and also to contain dust and fumes.

Guess we need to bump the door closers up on Facilities task list.

If anyone is interested in helping install those, Joe Birzer has been planning on doing it for a while now. I am sure he would love some help. He will be there tonight and I am sure if there were some people interested in helping him, he would be happy to schedule some other times to work on them.

It’s likely that was a result of the gas company coming last night following the gas leak in the kitchen. All doors were opened to all the rooms and all the heaters had been turned off. After troubleshooting, I believe all the heaters had to be turned back on and doors closed. That door might have just been lost in the shuffle.

I suspect it was the North East door, and that one never closes well.

It was the West woodworking shop.
