Saw Blade Sharpening

Hello, Wanted to know if anyone could point me to a sharpening service in town for circular saw blades. My 160mm track saw blades are all very dull.

I’ve gone to

Precision at 1332 S. Seneca 316)262-O626

And Sharpwning Specialists 2124 S. Edwards 316)945-O593

Both do a good job, but I generally go to the latter as they’ve been a bit more welcoming and responsive to me.

There are a few others as well.

Definitely call and get pricing. And ask how many times they think a blade might take a sharpening!

Happy making!

Do you remember how much a 60 tooth 12 inch was?

I cannot not remember… perhaps I blocked it?

As an aside, when it comes to sharp blades I can’t recommend cleaning enough. Pitch and such can accumulate quickly, cause excess friction and heat causing dull like effects on sharp blades and contributing to actual dulling. Lot’s of people use fancy de-pitching sprays, I have found that warm water works just fine all by itself though perhaps some more oily species may require a mild detergent.

Yeah I use degreaser on them to get the pitch off. They are clean just dull. I have a couple of triple chip coming for my next project but did see a reason to discard the rough cut blades, I use the most for break down work. They only cost 50 bucks but should be able to get a couple of sharpening out of them I would think. Chainsaw usually get four sharpening out of.
