Sat 3/15/25 - St Pats Parade

We have been committed to attend this Saturday’s St. Patrick’s day parade.

THEY HAVE CHANGED THE RULES FROM LAST YEAR. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK NEAR THE START OF THE PARADE. We will all have to carpool in to the start of the event or be dropped off.

We will be allowed to decorate once we get lined up for the parade (there will probable be a bit of a wait between when we get there and when it starts). We are allowed to put banners on the our vehicle (my truck and probably a 8ft trailer) while we wait. Once the parade starts, there will be no stopping, just a slow crawl to the afterparty site.

GPRF (Great Plains Renaissance Festival) will be handing out kids passes for the fair for those that want to help.

For those interested in walking the event as a part of MakeICT:
Be at Lynnwood Park at 10 AM on March 15th, 2025 (or before if you really feel like sitting around doing nothing). The group leaves there at 10:15, headed for downtown. Our destination is McLean, south of Douglas. We’ll be approaching from the south.
Important: we will not be on the bridge. We will be on McLean, South of Douglas.

For those who help out with the event, GPRF will be providing lunch (chili and baked potatoes) afterwards, but they do need a head count of how many people they’re cooking for. If you plan on attending, PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY THURSDAY NIGHT.
