Is anyone ever going to tell us newbies about the story of how the “do not be on fire” part of that rule came about? It was mentioned during oriebtation but we ran out of time before we got back to it.

I’ve seen a film of it once… but it happened before I got here. @james.a.seymour

There are those that claim this ( https://youtu.be/Ga2roKBa1-0 ) is the reason for that rule, but actually the don’t be on fire, and be excellent to each other were there from day one as an easy membonic… Membertrinic… Memory device to help people remember that you have to leave people better than you found them and to be nice to all workspaces regardless of what they are.

What if I’m the kind of person who knows how to be on fire and have done it before…

fire’s fun if you follow the rules.

I’ve tried that reasoning, no dice.

For every rule there is an equal and opposite recalcitration.

That’s just physics.
