Good evening, what would I need to do to get authorized on the Plasma Cutter? I have not completed any authorizations for the metalshop.

First, you’ll have to complete the metalshop safety/authorization. Then you can sign up for the CNC Plasma Cutter class. FWIW, AFAIK, the plasma table is still inoperable and has been for several months.

@Electronics @Kim_Kirwan Does anyone have details on the current state of the fried controller computer replacement and configuration? I have experience with control software in production environments. I would like to volunteer to evaluate and implement a baseline system configuration based on previous workflow or other requirements.

Not that the version is critical, but did that get updated after kim updated the pc?

When can I complete the metal shop authorization? I am interested in the powder coating class this Friday but I cannot sign up until I get authorized
