I’m a new member and I have my own 3d printer and I’ve been having some issue with it having failed prints I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out. My printer is the Creality Ender-3 S Pro.
My last print was one of the premade prints that came with the printer so all the settings should be correct but for some reason the print failed about 1/2 way through the print.
I’d be willing to bring it in if needed to try and get it working.
Pictures are really helpful.
Ok I will try again and get some pictures of where it failed. I didn’t think to try and get with the last time it failed
Yes, pictures. Or at least a description of “failed”. Failed prints can be so many different things. Part comes off the bed. Hot end gets clogged. Loses x/y steps. That’s just a few of them.
Were you ever able to get your printing issues sorted out?
Not yet. I had some stuff come up and have been in the process of moving so at the moment the 3d printer is taken apart in the box and I haven’t had a chance to put it back together
No problem. After you get settled, if you’re still needing help, I may be able to give you a hand.
So I was finally able to get the printer set back up. It was working good for the first 20 mins or so but I had to run an errand and when I came back the piece had detached from the base. I’m not sure why
I tried printing it again and got farther on the print this time but somewhere around 40% the piece detached from the base so I stopped it. I’m not sure if I have the bases heat setting wrong or something. I am using PLA filament and using the default PLA setting on the printer which sets the base temp to 60 and the nozzle temp to 200
I think the printers at MakeICT are set to 210/60, so maybe yours is a little bit “freezing” at the nozzle, or “pulling” at the nozzle?
Some things that might help you to diagnose the problem.
- Try that model on a different printer.
- Try a different model on your printer.
From that you might be able guess if it is something related to the model or something related to the printer.
