Firmware updated, all lubrication and maintenance performed. All calibrations have been performed and it has been tested to print from the network.
Thank you for taking care of this.
Yea, John!
You are amazing
Sweet
John you’re awesome!
I hope the firmware update makes a difference - do you think these prusas have the potential to be reliable printers?
I actually need to get in there and run the other 4 through firmware updates and complete calibration. Wanted to do it yesterday when they were all open and not being used, but just had too many things going on to get to it. The prints I did at home with Prusa 1 worked fantastic after going through all that before I brought it back, and it will, of course, be reliable until it’s not.
They are still going to be incredibly slow no matter what I do to them. They could be upgraded to MK3.5 machines, but that would only make them twice as fast, and would cost $249 per printer to do it. I’m just not convinced that makes sense to do that, but that’s not a decision that’s up to me to make.
Another thing that is included with the firmware update and calibration, is of course, the maintenance and cleaning that need done on each of them. Prusa 1 definitely was in dire need of lubrication, so I am sure that 2 through 5 are also very much in need of it, considering that Prusa 1 has been down for 3 of the months since they have all last been lubricated. Probably been 5 months at least???
A regular schedule appears to be needed; based on days or hours of use. I don’t know how to use these machines, but I enjoy the work being produced. Keep on keeping on!
There actually is a schedule, but unfortunately there’s currently nobody but me who’s making any attempt at doing it.
Of course
