First the bad news, if you wanted to compete in the speed cube competition on Oct 26 the competitor spots are FULL, they went fast! This is going to be a very popular event!
But you can still watch FOR FREE and tell all your friends about it!
I am needing some volunteers to help with tours and supervision on the day of the event. Would anyone be available, just to come for a few hours? You will help monitor guests, show people around, let folks in, and help MakeICT take advantage of hosting this wonderful event!
Take a shift:
7:30a-9 (check in starts at 8)
9-11
11-1
1-3
3-5
5-7p (event ends at 6:30)
@Communication are there any newsletters going out soon or other ways to spread the word and recruit volunteers? I don’t need too many people, since the speed cubers are managing their event, but I want MakeICT to be well represented!
I also need a volunteer Friday to help with setup. It is quick - they’re having some chairs delivered 6:45-7:00 so I need some member to be at the space to let them in, can anyone help out? I have some kid running around stuff that’s messing with my Friday night.
Do those times work? We will play it by ear of course, if people are too busy cubing to do tours I won’t worry about it but I will primarily be watching the door. And sometimes other random members drift in and might be able to help out. Larry is helping them set up Friday night at 6:30 which I REALLY appreciate! I’m excited about all the new people who will get to see MakeICT and thanks to everybody in the space who went along with me signing us up to host this crazy thing!
