New member metal shop authorizations

Hello, my name is Nick. I joined this week after having Make ICT on my radar for several years and finally being able to clear out some time to dedicate to participating. I was curious about getting some safety authorizations for metal shop tools. Not sure if those are done by individual tool or grouped.

My initial interest is the welders, I have done some very basic stick welding at home, but its ugly. Obviously, I’ll need the safety auths for the associated tools, grinder, bandsaw, plasma cutter ect. I haven’t found anything on the calendar, so I thought I would ask and see if I can get some direction.

Thank-you,
Nick Blomberg

The guy that usually teaches the area authorization for metalshop has been focused on building a castle…

Is there a day and time you would prefer to have the authorization class? I can do weekends or evenings.

Hi Rustin, I’m also available weekends and most evenings after 5:30p. Off the top of my head I would pick a Saturday any time, but if you’re willing to take your time to get me up and going; I’m happy to be there when it works best for you.

Thanks a Bunch!
Nick
