How long does it typically take to have an application processed?
Thank you in advance for your responses. I am asking because I see a new member orientation available this Saturday and was hoping to possibly join this. My app was submitted on 07/07 so only been a few days.
It usually happens within a few days, although it may depend on your payment method. Once payment goes through everything can be processed fairly quickly, so if you paid online it will probably be complete by then, if you paid with cash in the dropbox it will be dependant on when the treasurer went by to collect it. If you are concerned about payments going through you can ask the treasurer, who I will add shortly. The two things that need done before you can sign up are payment processing and the backround check, so if you are sure your payment went through but aren’t able to sign up on by then, show up anyways and let whoever is running the orientation know about the issues and they should be able to manually process the backround check, it only takes a few minutes.
Sometimes it takes a while for security to do background checks… sometimes it will happen 1-2 days beforehand… but we always get them done in the cycle… so plan to go to that meeting (unless you have a nefarious past 
)
I paid via drop box because I was unable to get PayPal to work. My account is locked and they do not have great support.

Looks like that happened… I just approved you from security.
I tried to sign up for the orientation tomorrow but it will not let me as of yet. I am still planning to attend.
