May 2019: Scott Sullivan

Our seventh featured ceramicist is our Area Lead Scott. Scott’s father worked for the Department of Defense and his family moved around every 3-4 years following his father’s career which explains why he was born in Korea, and lived in Japan as a young child. In college Scott studied Japanese and went back to Japan for a year where he discovered and studied wheel throwing at Kansai University, and he’s been hooked ever since.
