Did Amanda attend? If so how did it go?

We successfully laser cut her cardboard after some trial and error. Luckily there were no fires. I had her take a photo of the settings so she could use the same ones when she came back to use the laser again to finish her project.

Thank @jwithers that’s awesome

A description of the issue is generally helpful. Non-functional can mean a lot of things.

I checked it this morning and found a short in the probe wiring. Several strands of the wire had broken and were poking through the insulation and were intermittently contacting each other. I pulled a new wire through, but haven’t finished reconnecting it yet. I’ll probably finish it up later today.

We may want to look for some wire that is designed for repeated bending. The wires to the laser head have failed multiple times.

Sorry @Christian, I should have mentioned that the class got to see/hear the laser head crash into the bed, instead of saying the probe was nonfunctional.

I didn’t get a chance to finish fixing Mario yet. I might have some time to do it this evening.

The probe is back in working condition.
