Last night both lasers were not responding to badges. I unplugged and plugged back in Mario and it then reacted to the badge and turned on as expected. I tried the same thing with Luigi. It would respond to my badge and show green but the laser would not turn on. The screen might flash for a second but not always. @IT @kim @jameslancaster

It’s working.
Suspecting power, I checked the breaker, and I’m not sure if it was or wasn’t tripped (couldn’t tell, wasn’t obviously tripped, but some breakers can trip with little indication), but flipping it certainly fixed it. Inadvertently doing the worst thing for troubleshooting: Have you tried rebooting, which usually masks problems instead of actually fixing them.
If there’s further problems, I want to try to verify the source before I or someone fixes it. I did check after and all the voltages and such on Luigi were good, unlike the last issue. So yay? (I only checked Luigi.)
