Friends, I have a table saw I inherited from my dad. It is a Rockwell Unisaw, and it has worked well for several years. But we moved to a new house this past year, and apparently in the move, something disconnected. Turns on but doesn’t run. Any suggestions for repairmen would be appreciated. Located N. of Andover / W. of Benton, off of Highway 254. thanks.
Some older table saw motors have a breaker located on the motor, red button. Press the button to reset the breaker.
Ok, thanks. Will give it a try. PW
Being there in person would obviously make troubleshooting easier. Doubtful the overload would trip without there being any power to the saw, but it’s cheap to try.
What kind of motor is on the saw? Have you looked the wiring over? When you say it turns on, what do you mean? A motor turning on usually means it’s spinning. I’m assuming the motor isn’t spinning though or else the belt and blade would also spin.
Text me 316-3715504. I might be able to diagnose over the phone. If I come over, there will be a charge. I start with power supply. The simple answer is preferable.
Identity yourself in the text, I don’t answer unknown numbers.
