Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say a quick hello — I’m new to the MakeICT community and really excited to be here! I joined because I’m passionate about learning, building, and connecting with people who love to create.
I’ve heard amazing things about the workshops, tools, and collaborative spirit here, and I can’t wait to dive in. I’m especially drawn to woodworking, 3D printing, and electronics, but I’m open to exploring anything hands-on and creative.
Looking forward to meeting fellow makers, swapping ideas, and hopefully teaming up on some cool projects in the future. Thanks for the warm welcome — thrilled to be part of the community!
Welcome! That is quite a spread… which area are you looking to connect with first?
Honestly, I think I’d like to start with woodworking first. There’s just something about working with my hands, shaping something from scratch—it feels really satisfying. You know what? Once I get comfortable there, I’d love to explore 3D printing and electronics too, but woodworking just draws me in the most right now.
@whateg01 Dave Hanson is the lead for woodshop. He can point you in the right direction if you don’t see a safety class on the calendar…
You can find out a lot of info on our wiki… I am looking to take the safety class soon! Hope to see you around.
There is a woodshop safety class on the calendar for, I think, next Tuesday. Matt Cleary is conducting these.
