Looking for old working GSM phones

Many of you are familiar with Logan Stewart, the child we built the :fire_engine: Fire Truck wheelchair :man_in_motorized_wheelchair: for. His grandfather, Monte, operates a charity that focuses on feeding hungry kids, especially in Haiti. He contacted me with a request for used but working GSM :iphone: cell phones. If you have an old cell phone that you no longer use that requires a SIM card (some phones do not), he has a long list of families in Haiti that could use your phone. These phones can be used with SIM cards he acquires, giving poor families a lifeline they have never had.
Monte will be leaving again for Haiti in 2 weeks, and will be able to take with him as many phones :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: :iphone: as we can collect. If you would like to donate an old phone, please bring it to the makerspace between now and next Sunday, December 22nd. I’ll make sure it gets to Monte in Oklahoma, and Monte will make sure it gets into the hands of a family in Haiti.
I’ll leave a box at MakeICT tomorrow morning. You may include your name and contact information if you’d like more information on Monte’s charity, or you may leave the phone anonymously by simply dropping it in the box.

THANK YOU!

David

If you’re not sure if your old phone is the right kind, you may put your name on the phone. If it is not a GSM phone, I’ll make sure that you get it back if you wish. If you aren’t sure what kind of phone you have, but don’t care if you get it back, simply drop it in the box. We’ll check them before I take them to Oklahoma.
