Lichtenberg theory

Hello my name is Eleanor and I am very new here, but I am excited to learn new things and meet new people!
I am scheduled for the woodshop safety meeting. So I may get my questions answered there.
At makers Monday, a lead said something along the lines of welcoming new ideas, and new crafts are always welcome.
I am hoping there is a spot here for what I love to do.
I’m come to you with a lot of experience and videos to show myself doing my art. Please look up Dragons and castles onTic Tok.
These videos show me before I had the stroke in my home in Arizona. After the stroke I came home to Kansas .
All the tools of my trades are safely waiting for me to be able to go pick them up.
Since I came back I have gotten another machine and everything I need to make walking sticks with the LICHTENBERG patterns.
I have everything in a bag on the back of my chair, and I only need is a plug in and to use one indoor/outdoor carpets
I am not asking to leave my machine here, I would pack it up every time I would use it
The ventilation, is my concern, if you can’t do epoxy then I would need a room with a garage door, or have permission to run a plug outside.
Again I promise not to leave anything behind, except maybe the carpet.
I would like to sell my products at the Renaissance festival. If I had a place to plug in, my goal is to become independent and politely give Uncle Sam his disability check back
A year ago this past December I had a massive stroke that left me on life support for 2 weeks. In a year I have become 95% independent.
When I woke up, all I wanted was my stick and a piece of sand paper. I have kept my eye on the prize, and I was so grateful I found all of you and I hope you understand my passion for wood, it took me 48 years to find what I wanted to be when I grew up. And this is me
I am still at the nursing home on Woodlawn and Harry, I have been there for a year. That is not my home!
Thank you for taking a minute to get to know me .
Anyone that knows what I need to do, or talk to, I will except any guidance. If you don’t have any solid answers to help me, and you have guesses or suggestions, I appreciate you but I need the people who know what my next step should be. Thank you so much

Hi Eleanor,

First, I would like to congratulate you on your 95% recovery, and wish you continued healing so that you reach 100%!

I did not know what Lichtenburg wood burning (AKA fractal wood burning) was, I had to look it up: (1) (2) (3) (4) (5)

Second, I would like to welcome you to MakeICT and point out that you can still safely simulate Lichtenburg patterns on a flat wooden surface of up to 36"x36" or so (not sure of exact size) using either of our lasers in the fablab. You could also use a round wooden dowel (a regular surface) and the fourth axis setup, but it would probably be too short to use as a walking stick. A natural surface, such as a stick, would probably be too irregular to use (too difficult for the laser to stay focused on), sorry.

I would suggest the Python computer language (1) (2) for generating the fractal patterns (3) (4) (5), as it is easy to learn and very powerful.

It is possible that other regimes and venues might try to ban the sale of any laser-simulated fractal-burned-products that you might produce, based on the fact that they “look like” real Lichtenburg patterns, but that would be between you and them.

So again, welcome to MakeICT, and perhaps we can find another way to fill your creative needs. If you have questions, you can usually find me at the Electronics Meetup, any Sunday, 3-5pm. I look forward to meeting you.

Thank you for your help.
I will come on Sunday to the meeting as well. But I don’t think I really clarified that what I have is a neon sign transformer, I use a pedal to activate it, and the clips have a safety measure as well.
I have the electrical gloves and I do not hold on to the clamps while it’s doing it at all. So I am excited to learn of a safer way to do what I’ve been doing.
I would still like to meet with you all that are interested in this process maybe Sunday BF or after the meeting.?
I have a deep respect for electricity, she is the alpha and the Omega. And she bites really hard and I don’t like to be bitten. But I have microwave transformers machine in the beginning. Because I honestly didn’t know that they made a machine.
And I know on the newcomer here but isn’t that exactly why I signed a waiver?
