George and George is absolutely brilliant. Kudos Grandson!
The Georges⦠and if they ever get replaced⦠George I and George II
Not with Kefaā¦the replacements would also be just āGeorgeā and āGeorge.ā He has like 50 dinosaurs. All named George.
@james.a.seymour this might make a good project for the shop ā printing and binding some MakeICT journals. Care to collab?
@ernie.kind would love that too so once a project is documented it can go on display
Is linoleum lazerable
We can do a basic dot grid block with an optional text block at the top
Also, CNC:
So one could get a linoleum piece the size of the print bed, paper to match, print both sides then cut them down and bind them and make a custom bujo
Essentially, yes.
So as a clever maker having your own bujo lino for the printing press for custom bujo is tight like a tiger.
But having a similar lino with SPOTS for customization would make a phat class tool.
What size are you thinking for the Bujos? 5.5" x 4.25"? That would cut neatly out of an 8.5" x 11" sheet, with the page fronts and backs printed at the same time (if youād like them to be different, thatās cool). Weād print a front & back, then flip the stack and print front and back again. Then we fold, saddle stitch them, and round the outside corners so it fits nicely in a pocket. Or were you thinking a bigger book size?
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
My mind is like a plastic bag
We have a couple sheets of linoleum in the Printmaking Studio. If inspiration strikes, have at it.
I think heās talking about those wallet-bound pieces of paper with denominations and serial numbers. You know, dead presidents and their friends. Now the MakeICT founding fathers? Dartboard, definitely.
Would you mind if I snagged a small piece of that? Iād like to try to do our logo on the laser, then mount the linoleum type high so we can use it on the Heidelberg (or the Kelsey, or the Vandercook Proof Press).
If you print a bunch of stuff Iāll give it away at the stem event Thursday.
Iād love to, but we still need supplies. I donāt have any tympan sheets, packing, or ink yet.
Interesting article including where to get tympan paper and alternatives to it
