We don’t play many DVD’s any more but the player has sat behind a soundbar for the last 10 years. Not only was it inconvenient to insert a disk, we couldn’t use the remote to control the player. I took the Laser Cutting Basics class two weeks ago and decided fixing this issue would be a good first project.
I used Inkscape to design a stand and successfully cut the thing on my 1st try. Pretty exciting! The player now sits nicely above the soundbar. You may notice the middle supports stand a little proud on top – that’s to catch the feet on the player to keep it from sliding off.
I know this is pretty basic stuff, but it’s fun to get started!
