Hello my name is Katie and I just found the MakeICT and wanted to jump straight in and start learning. I am excited to join a community of like-minded-creators and have access to various workshops. I am drawn to glass and metal working primarily but learning wood working and textiles interests me too. I hope there is a welding class soon.
I plan to attend the next orientation for new members and meet fellow makers!
If you are looking at Glass, might I offer a suggestion of Stained Glass? There is a class starting on May 5th that still has some seats available. We have a full Lab for glass crafts available in Room One. Once authorized, you could have unlimited access available! Hope to visit with you soon.
Hi Timothy, I believe we met on Saturday and you gave a tour of the visual arts room. It is such a great space, I would love to start working in there. Is there a room safety class like there is for wood and metal?
I recall you mentioned a good place to get glass panes as well. What was that store called again?
I remember you Katie! Rayer’s Bearden Stained Glass on West Kellogg almost to Dugan St. (On the South access road) For glass and supplies. I will be at MakeICT tonight for Open Lab 6:00-9:00.
