I got a couple of 30cm metal pipes for a project and I need to cut them into three 10cm pieces. I 3D printed a jig to cut them to the right length with a hacksaw, but they’re stainless steel and the hacksaw I have only scratches them.
Is there someone planning to be at the space in the next few days that could help me? I don’t want anyone to have to make a special trip.

I’m nearby and have no problem giving you a hand… to be honest, the horizontal band saw is probably my favorite Metalshop tool! Bring your 3D printed jig, too… I’d love to see the design!

It’s a good idea to take a file to one corner of that tube or pipe or whatever it is make sure that it’s not so hard that the bandsaw blade will just dull and not cut it

I just realized I never replied to this thread… I ended up getting aluminum tubes instead and they’re a lot easier to deal with
