Set piece for the play Radium Girls at Wichita Community Theater.
This piece needed to brought out for Act 2 of the play. The design challenge was that it needed to be lightweight so it can be easily moved and also be small as there was limited space to store it. I desided to go with a foldable design. The 3 small worktable, also made at MakeICT for the play, became the interior surface of the bench.
Designed: Fusion 360
Fabrication: Pink foam cut with Woodshop bandsaw and hardboard cut on FabLab’s Luigi laser cutter.
Assembled: With hinges, hot glue and paint.
