Having issues with the laser for the intro class
Is RDWorks also open?
Not at the same time, but i did try to use both and got similiar results. I rebooted both the pc and the laser and got the same results.
Did you check that the usb was plugged in on both ends? Was there any message on the contol pad?
Yes i checked the usb and didnt see anything out of the ordinary on the control pad.
I used the laser last night and had intermittent issues with it. It looks like the safety switch on the door is acting up. The error message on the panel isn’t super noticeable, but it looks like this:
If you hit “Esc” it will cancel your current job, “Enter” will continue if the switch is pressed. Opening and closing the lid or pressing down on the right corner will get the switch to press properly.
I’ll go ahead and replace the lid switch with a magnetic switch like we did on Mario a while back. That should make it a lot more reliable.

The switch has been replaced, so you shouldn’t have this issue anymore.
