ISO - Wood Chipper

I need to reduce down and otherwise make unidentifiable about 200 lbs of material.

Does someone have a large (preferably v8 powered) woodchipper i could borrow for a day?

Will clean and repaint before returning if need be.

Have you considered piranha solution?

What are you doing with the wood chips?

I’ve got 8 big black contractor trash bags full of plastic panels that i’m trying to break down. PETG falls under recycling code 7, which is not something i’ve been able to find as being recyclable locally, and the amount doesn’t seem to be quiet enough yet warrant a company in Missouri to make the drive for it.

So i’m trying to reduce down the number of bags until such a time as I can find a good deal on a recycling system, or have the focus to build something.

Have you tried National Plastics Color in Goddard?

Goddard or valley center? Either way, I haven’t tried them yet. I’d be happy if they’re even just a drop off point.

Talked with national plastics color in goddard.

They’re pretty nice guys, but the minimum They’re willing to process is 3,000 lbs of PETG to justify cleaning their machines afterwards and then resume processing of their usual materials lime hdpe (recycle code #2) or polypropylene (code #5).

I’m definitely leaning towards just buying a shredder off Vevor for $1500 (or if I can find one 2nd hand) and then get into making plastic 2x4s from the finely shredded scrap. I know there’s a Kickstarter out there for a system to process failed prints back into filament, but my research is showing that there is a lot of prep that needs to go into treating shredded scrap before being made back into usable filament.

That, or would someone want to play around with adding a 2hp motor to one of the ‘hand crank’ plastic pelletizer grinder boxes?

It looks like these machines can play double duty as aluminum can shredders.
