Does anyone know of a repair person local to Wichita to recommend? I have 2 sewing machines that have not been serviced in YEARS and they need help, or rather a knowledgeable eye on them to see what I need to fix on them or keep in mind.
(Putting this in general to get more eyes on it, I know someone knows someone who does this!!!)
I don’t know of any individuals who do sewing machine service, but if you want to take it to a sewing machine business that does cleaning and repairs, Midwest Sewing at Douglass and Pattie is who I do business with. But also, there is A1 Sewing in Parklane Shopping Center. I know they do cleaning and repair too. There are some others around town I believe, but I’ve never been to any of the others.
I use Midwest Sewing too. They do an awesome job. Very knowledgeable and only takes a couple of weeks. Got my Bernina there. 
Last time I used A1 in Parkland I was treated rudely and the problem was not solved. I do not recommend them.
Timothy, sorry you weren’t satisfied with them. I haven’t used A1 for servicing a machine, so I don’t know how they are with that part. They’ve always been friendly when I’ve been there shopping for fabric and supplies. I’ve bought a couple machines at Midwest and have always had good luck with their service department.
