How to delete old messages?

Hey, I’m still learning the ins and outs here.

How do I delete old messages? I’ve gone to my inbox, but can’t find a delete option. It’s probably simple, but …:dizzy_face:.

As far as I know there isn’t a way for regular users to delete messages. You can archive them if you want them out of your inbox. There should be an ‘Archive’ button at the bottom of the message. If you are on a mobile device it is in the ‘Topic Controls’ menu in the same place.

Your suggestion about archiving them makes me wonder if users have the ability to create new folders within our inboxes, like you can with a regular email account, so actual archived messages can be sorted from “archived” messages (aka the ones you would delete)? I just know how ridiculous my email can get, and don’t want that here.
