Thanks Thad! I’ll be in tomorrow for a while. I can finish up the kiln shelves then.
There’s wasn’t enough bisque or glaze. Unless someone brings in a bunch I don’t expect a firing soon. I need to deep clean some with my roto stripper. A second coat would help, pre-mix in glass cabinet.

Thanks Thad!
We’ve been doing some cleaning each time we are in and trying to help.
I organized and cleaned the unit under the slab roller a month or so ago as well as the roller area.
Again Last week I took the slab roller off the shelf and thoroughly cleaned all the dust from under it. I also rinsed out a couple of the canvas mats that someone had left black clay on.
We pulled all the ware boards off the shelving during the ceramics meeting and I cleaned up all the dust on the storage shelves. The clay residue left on wares boards is producing a lot of dust over time. As it dries and the wareboards get banged around the dust flies off. The shelves were loaded with it. We washed several water boards- but didn’t get to all. Then tried to organize the boards roughly by size when placing back on the storage unit.
Reminder to all- please sponge off your wares board after removing your piece - before putting the board back on the shelf. Doing so will cut down on some of the studio silica dust.
We run laundry if needed and also organize here and there and clean and mop a bit each time we are in as I’m sure most people do.
Thank you for taking care of those big tasks. I know it takes a lot of your time. Much appreciated.
