I’m really new to the laser cutter and I’ve seen some files for hold down pins using the honeycomb bed. Does anybody have experience or know if those work at all?

I’ve used some to keep things from sliding side-to-side but never to hold something down.

Have you had issues with your material sliding? I’ve found pins to be more annoying than helpful for me. You have to make sure you don’t accidentally hit them.

I’ve tried to use them for placement on repeatable cuts. It seemed to work well enough for what I needed.

The only reason I’ve found to secure anything to the bed is warped material. I did modify some short bolts in my machine shop to pull down on stuff like that but haven’t used them since we moved to mt. Vernon and don’t really know where there are now
