Hi everyone. A coworker brought a group of us to check on a 3D print something like four years ago and gave us a tour, but I finally, finally got around to joining just a couple months ago.
I design circuit boards for work, so I originally thought I’d join because I don’t really have a nice space at home for building out an electronics work area. Haven’t made it into the ERP lab yet but I have been able to get on the laser cutter and 3D printers a bit. I’ll probably also make it into the woodshop a bit more as I take on projects more advanced than my wife’s old table saw can handle.
Here’s a few of the things I’ve made with the laser cutter for my daughter’s nursery (none of the designs are my own, but I did hack off about half the depth of the dog house successfully in Inkscape!):
